SHARE BOND (ProtectRWildlife@aol.com) President, List Moderator, Project Coordinator, CA Rep. for Protect R Wildlife; President of S.K.U.N.K.S. (Society of Kind Understanding and Not Killing Skunks); N.E.A.R. (National Endowment for Animal Rights); and used to run C.A.R.E.S. (California Animal Rescue & Education Sanctuary) - She has been specializing in the wild skunk for 11 years and has been rehabbing most native wild animals for most of her life.  She especially has a fondness for the "underdog" - the skunk, opossum, raccoon, squirrel and other so-called "nuisance" wildlife, and despises prejudism, selective compassion and speciesism (a form of animal bigotry) and feels that SOMEONE has to stand up for these misunderstood abused creatures.  She looks forward to networking with all of the members, and establishing a powerful group!  She's been a member of CCWR, NWRA, and IWRC.  To learn more about S.K.U.N.K.S. visit our web site at www.StinkyBusiness.org.  Share has taught seminars on "Rescue, Handling and Care of Wild Skunks" at the Animal Care Expo in Orlando, FL; Pasadena Humane Society (sponsored by them); and NWRA's Seattle Conference.

LORNA BUFFUM (lornapaws@aol.com) Vice President, Literature Editing & Humane Education Teams, and RI Rep. - She is one of two active rehabbers on the East Bay of Rhode Island, and runs a wildlife rehab facility on 2 acres. She's the Director of Healing Paws Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education. Member of IWRC, NWRA, National Opossum Society, Opossum Society of the US, HSUS Urban Sanctuary Program, Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of RI (on Board) and RI Wildlife Council (on Board). Lorna has worked with animals all her life, and been a "rehabber" in one form (or state) or another for about ten years. She rehabs strictly mammals, but her migratory bird permit is pending to take emergency overflow or birds that are on their way to another rehabber for long term care. We work with a local DVM where we get small mammals, RVS, deer, birds, you name it. Does education programs, works with her local paper with a regular wildlife column. Public education is a major thing for her, and she is working on this issue with the RI Wildlife Council. The Council has been in existence for a couple of months now - we are a combination of US Fish & Wildlife Regional Director, RI Dept. of Environmental Management Wildlife Director, State Veterinarian, Animal Control, board members of the Wildlife Rehabilitators association of RI, Director of Norman Bird Sanctuary, Director of Providence Animal Rescue's Wildlife Education program, Director of Audubon Society's Education Center, Director of Born to Be Wild Raptor Sanctuary. Our mission is to modify the regulations governing rehabilitators and wildlife in Rhode Island, to maximally benefit the wildlife and enable the rehabilitators, and to hone the communication and education process to reach as many people in the state as possible regarding wildlife issues, rescue processes, etc. It's a good council to be a part of in order to influence state policy regarding wildlife. We are preparing regulations to go for approval by the state for 2004.

KIMBERLY CRAWSHAW (LucinasFyre@aol.com) Advertising Consultant & Literature Editor, TN Rep. She lives in Clarksville, TN and has always been involved in domestic animal rescue, but would like to contribute more to her community and animals in a broader sense. Although she has a house full of stray animals, she would like to get involved with wildlife rehabilitation. Her long-term goal is to own a farm house somewhere so she can take part in this kind of work.

DIANA KRUSCHKE (insynergydk@comcast.net) Board Member, Feral Cat Project Team Leader, CA - She is the Programs Director for The Feral Cat Alliance, a 501(c)3 that is dedicated to the care and protection of feral cats. Our once-domesticated, feline companion animal has become partly wild out of human neglect and abandonment. Unfortunately cats have become part of the mix of nuisance backyard wildlife. She is very committed to having feral cat groups work with other wildlife groups so that the best interest of all the animals is served. We have much in common, and much to do together.

She has experience in trapping ferals, for spay/neuter, and in managing colonies. Also tames, socializes and adopts out rescued kittens. Has 20 years of experience in organizational consulting; meeting effectiveness, communication training, vision and planning, etc., which has helped enormously in figuring out how to grow The Feral Cat Alliance. Gaining experience quickly in grant writing and educating the public through speaking and writing. Has a B.A. in fine arts, and always have some art project in the works. She and her husband of 23 years share the same passion for helping their homeless cats.

CONNIE PICARD (teleiia@cavtel.net) Secretary, Humane Trapping & Anti-Hunting Teams, VA Rep. She has been a permitted rehabber in the state of VA since 2001 and is something that she's always wanted to do. Her primary focus is avian rehab but also does small mammals and turtles

SABRINA SISSON (sabrinasisson@yahoo.com) Board Member, Humane Education Team Leader, Awards Analyst, MI Rep. - She and her husband plan to build a Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Facility. They have been rehabilitating wildlife since 1999 working with all species. They have also been involved in educational programs using non-releasable Birds of Prey since 2001. Like Share, she's always been a fan of the "underdog", and She especially enjoys introducing the public to their Turkey Vulture Nechkbet! She is on the board of Associated Wildlife Educators (a Michigan-based rehab & education org), the Manistee County Humane Society, For The Love Of Pets (a listing service for domestic animals), and The West Shore Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association.
